Its all Hockie Pock...

per my dad. My mom is back from her cruise so I got to talk to her today finally!!! She said the only reason my dad is saying that this whole idea of me being allergic to dairy is fooey is because he didn't think of it first.

I told my mom about me having a CIB and feeling like I ate a block of cement. She agreed that I cannot have anymore dairy at all. I got the book Go Dairy Free by Alisa Marie Fleming. Just her introduction alone sounds just like me! I'm going to share this book along with The Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook with my mom and together we will figure this out.

I haven't had any dairy since Saturday when there was a bit of cheese on the salad at the restaurant. Thinking back I should have asked for a separate small salad, but I didn't want to be a pain...guess if I don't want to be in pain, I will have to be a pain and ask for what I need.

I have a migraine today, which could be from the dairy Saturday, or from a lack of sleep because I had night shift insomnia last night.

  1. I love the Go Dairy Free book! I wish I had it when we first started!!! What do you think about the Uncheese cookbook? It's sitting in my wishlist on Amazon... just haven't had the courage to spend the money on yet ANOTHER DF cookbook. :P

Thanks for stopping by my personal blog... it is so nice to meet you! I've got a few other non-dairy bloggy friends you might enjoy checking out. Also, I wanted to invite you to my recipe blog - Must Follow Recipes. Maybe you'll find something you like there.

Are you planning on posting recipes? I would love to know what you are cooking! :)

Again, so nice to meet you!

  2. Hi Becky
Thank you for looking at my blog! I didn't think anyone would, I'm sort of doing it for myself to track my progress, but I'm delighted to have someone else read it!!! I would be up for any pointers or tips for yummy recipes.

I actually found your personal blog from Must Follow Recipes. I love that one, everything looks so good!

The uncheese cookbook is great to look at. I haven't made anything from it, but I plan to very soon. I've been craving mac and cheese. When I do make somethings, perhaps I can review the book for you. I love how its set up though.

I haven't made my own recipes yet, but when I do, I plan on posting them.

Thanks again for visiting my little baby blog!
